5'5" x 3'9" Turkish Red Kilim

Our traditional kilims are pileless flat woven textiles most commonly produced in Turkey and Central Asia, utilizing 100% wool and vegetable dyes. Browsing through Asran's catalog you'll notice some repeating motifs. These are created by the weavers based on traditional symbols.  

The pattern signifies marriage as well as love and unity. It is bordered with symbols of dualism that was inherited from the Far East, exemplifying harmony between a man and a women.
