5'6" x 3'5" Turkish Kilim

Our traditional kilims are pileless flat woven textiles most commonly produced in Turkey and Central Asia, utilizing 100% wool and vegetable dyes. Browsing through Asran's catalog you'll notice some repeating motifs. These are created by the weavers based on traditional symbols. 

 

This vibrant kilim is filled with the eye motif, which was believed to prevent the harms caused by the evil eye. The two symbols in the center are the comb motifs which expresses the desire for getting married and to protect birth.
