4'5" x 2'9" Turkish Yagcibedir

Yagcibedir rugs are made by nomadic tribes located in the northwest region of Turkey, near the Aegean Sea. These rugs are made with pure lamb’s wool and are extremely soft. They have been produced in this area since the 15th century. They are hand woven and naturally dyed in red and blue. The blue symbolizes the color of the Aegean Sea, the white is the natural color of the wool and as the rug ages the red gradually turns into a soft brown.
