Yagcibedir rugs are made by nomadic tribes located in the northwest region of Turkey, near the Aegean Sea. These rugs are hand-woven with pure lamb’s wool and are extremely soft. They have been produced in the area since the 15th century. Hand woven, and naturally dyed in red, blue and white. The blue symbolizes the color of the Aegean Sea, the white is the natural color of the wool and as the rug ages the red turns into a soft brown.
